Last week at the annual meeting of the Angel Capital Association I was elected to the organization’s board of directors. Exactly what role I can best play in the organization will make itself clear in time. For now I am trying to bring the perspective of someone from a small angel group in an area lacking a culture of early-stage investing. I am also passionately interested in exploring how angel groups can better partner with local colleges and universities to create mutually enriching opportunities around mentoring. I look forward to the adventure.

Thanks Ty. It is very exciting. At my first board meeting I was delighted to see there was already great interest in sharing best practices in networking. There is also strong interest in building sector-based affinity groups centered around deal syndication.
