This past week I enjoyed listening to several podcasts from Standford’s eCorner. In each case an entrepreneur showcases how they can use innovation and market forces to make the world a better place, without needing to wait (or rely on) government regulation. A venture that can accomplish this has huge advantages: little or no regulatory risk, ability to attract investors//employees/customers motivated by both forms of green, etc. I highly recommend these podcasts for those passionate about making the world a greener place…
- EC: Conservation International – A non-governmental organization using entrepreneurship to save the world.
- EC: Idealab & eSolar – A celebrated serial entrepreneur who’s latest venture is reinventing solar power.
- EC: Calera – A serial entrepreneur who’s latest venture aims to dramatically reduce global CO2 emissions by reinventing concrete.
