Entrepreneurs, need help? Some free, and fee, solutions.

I have spent more than ten years in early stage investing, raising money for my own ventures, leading angel groups, leading national-scale angel initiatives, etc. (testimonials,  credentials).  For that reason, from time to time entrepreneurs approach me asking for help.   If that is you then…

You can find many excellent free resources & networking opportunities at organizations I donate time to: UMass EI and Valley Venture Mentors.  Or you may find that taking one of the summer courses I teach fits your budget better.

If you want personalized attention, then I have several offerings – but I must warn you they aren’t cheap.

  • Pitch Review ($50) – You give me your 60-second(ish)pitch.  I give you the unvarnished investor’s view and suggestions for improvement.  If I know someone who may be able to help you, I will refer you.  Twenty minutes.
  • Executive Summary Light Review ($175) – You give me your executive summary (no more than 2 pages).  I read it live with you on the phone and give you low-level language optimization advice but keep your basic structure intact.  This is a quick&dirty review.  If I know people who may be able to help you, I will refer you.  One hour.
  • Slide Deck Review ($325) – You walk me through your slide deck presentation and I give you the same point-by-point feedback presenters to my angel group get before coming in to pitch the group.  If I know people who may be able to help you, I will refer you.  Two hours.
  • Executive Summary Editor ($475) – You give me your executive summary (no more than 2 pages).    In our first meeting I give you detailed editing advice that includes how to reorganize all of your information into the format that investors are generally most receptive to.  At our second meeting I review an updated draft.  We do this one more time.  If I know people who may be able to help you, I will refer you.  Three hours split over three sessions.
It is important to note that my relationships are not for sale.  What is for sale is my advice.  If along the way I realize someone I know can be a help to you, I will gladly introduce you – at no cost.
My consulting offerings are now a permanent page on this website.
My thanks to Derek Lyman for his advice on how best to productize these offerings.
